These guys make a good point, as a programmer I've never worked for commercial projects for free, Open-source projects OTOH I rarely work for pay. I suggest if you are looking to get some sprite work done and maybe not have to worry about deadlines and such, work on something open-source or non-profit. My game engine project could totally use some demo sprites if your interested. ;)
