Diablo 3 -FULL GAME - Free to deserving gamer! by diabloyumyumin Diablo

[–]Warewulff 0 points1 point ago

My fiancee and I are fairly consistently cashless right now. Her parents are getting divorced and her mom and sister are taking her dad for all he's worth, so we help him and he helps us a lot. It goes back and forth every month or so. Sharing one car while I go to school full time and she works part-time. Thankfully, we live rent free since she's the apartment manager, but debts do seem to pile up regardless. =(

I'm sure I'm not the most deserving person here, and I'll come right out and say it. But I have a lot of friends who play (and got to experience Error 37 firsthand) and I haven't the cash to join in. I would love to win this, and regardless of who wins, I say thank you for the giveaway. Generosity like yours is rare these days. =)

You point makes some sense to me, and completely loses me at others. Now, it's your opinion, and that's the point of this so I won't say that you're wrong. Opinions aren't wrong - that's the wonderful thing about them. But as a student, with little free time that my fiancee doesn't steal away (she's not a gamer) I still don't quite agree on this sentiment. I think quality is more important than length. But a fun game is a fun game whether it's 3-5 hours long or hundreds of hours. I just get less done in the longer game. XD

Unique perspective on game length though, I'll give you that! =D

I agree with this sentiment 100%. And it's hard to argue that either the book or film excel above the other. Despite the differences, they are both brilliant and convey the same sentiment. There are cerain things in the book that wouldn't have been as good in film, and vice versa. Fight Club has probably been my most watched film in my life, and even still I notice little things when I watch it that I hadn't before.

I am a Chubby Chaser, but I feel conflicted by Boyofdestiny001in self

I was once in a place like yourself. I came to learn that physical attraction can help start the relationship, but almost everything else is what keeps it going. My fiancee is a heavy girl, and initially it is part of what attracted me to her. She hasn't lost much weight since I met her, but we're living healthier than she was. Unfortunately, she is diabetic, but it's not to the point where she has to eat a very specific way or take medication regularly. She wants to lose the weight and I've told her if that's what she wants, she should go for it - after all, she's beautiful and will be whether she's thick or thin. I would prefer her healthy than heavy. I've seen pictures of her thin and she's just as beautiful - so while it was (and still is) a perk for me, she doesn't really want to be heavy, but I guarantee you she's much more confident in her appearance now than when we met, and she definitely feels sexy around me.

Make her feel beautiful, don't try to convince her that she is - it works SO much better and you'll see her confidence soar. When she says she wants to lose weight, let her know that it should be for herself and nobody else, you like (or love) her just as she is and she needn't change any of that for you. If you would still be happy with her if she's thin, or thinner (and hopefully you would be), let her know that too. But don't be pushy about it argumentatively. Try to show it physically. SHOW her how beautiful you think she is, don't just tell her. Hope that helps!

Anyone else tired of kickstarter games that make lots of promises but have absolutely no demos or prototypes? by giulianobin gamedev

[–]Warewulff 2 points3 points ago

I have the game, and honestly, the trailer made it look like loads of fun. However, the game itself feels a bit lackluster. The premise is the best part. I played a few hours of it before I got tired of the same thing over and over and the extreme slowdown that would happen out of nowhere or if there was too much happening. Was kinda sad that it was just a much lower caliber game than anticipated.

[PiF] Ys: The Oath in Felghana [Steam] by Zirindin playitforward

[–]Warewulff 1 point2 points ago*

Good golly! I've wanted this game for like 3 years or something (edit: apparently 7 years XD), since it came out in Japan. Was sad when I thought it wouldn't come here. Then I was sad when it came here for PSP for two reasons - no PSP and the screen/speakers wouldn't do it justice. Then it came out on Steam and I had no idea until the release day! I was blown away! Unfortunately I'd made a deal with my fiance the day before that made it so I couldn't buy another game until Starbound is released. =(

I've vicariously enjoyed the game through a long distance friend playing it. He's never played an Ys game before and it's certainly an excellent place to begin! I loved Ys III for Super NES (it's still one of my faves) and this being the remake - I'm sure it's just that much better. The music engrossed me then and most certainly still does. The gameplay is fast and frantic and every Ys game I've ever played has been amazing - but III is still my favorite in the series. I am sad for anyone who passes over this PiF or misses it. This game is excellent and EVERYONE should play it.

Even if I don't win, whoever gets it WILL appreciate this game. Thank you Zirind for allowing me the opportunity to win this game. You kick donkey. Crossin' my fingers! Good luck everyone who enters! =D

Edit 2: I'll add my funny thing later. Got something on my phone I'd like to submit, just gotta get it.

Even Suikoden II wasn't as good as the original for me though. That one was riddled with mistranslations. >.>

Religion =/= good, From the viewpoint of someone who isn't an atheist. by Warewulffin atheism

[–]Warewulff[S] 1 point2 points ago

Relgion isn't necessarily evil, but it empowers those who aren't all there to do things that are evil and THINK they're good. Religion is a dangerous thing. I find religions interesting, but I don't think I'll ever be a church-goer. My family has scared me straight on that one. XD

More on topic, I do respect religious views of others as long as they don't expect me to change how I think or want to convert me.

What people like this don't seem to understand is that, at least for some, it's they way they behave that shies people away from their beliefs. I know that's how it is for me. If their god tells them it's okay to belittle others purely for not being as fervently involved in the church or praying regularly (most prayer I've seen is a generic thank you and a request - I disapprove of begging) then their god is an entity I'd rather not be associated with. Just sayin'.

[–]Warewulff 3 points4 points ago

Tell me why it's okay for my aunt and grandmother to insult me or make me feel like less of a human being for most of my life because I don't entirely agree with their religious views. I'm not even ATHEIST and I get this from people who are supposed to love me?

It's not, is it? I don't do anything to egg it on, they just do it. It's a bunch of bullshit and just because they believe in god doesn't make them "right" or "good people." That's a bullshit stereotype that religious people like to tout about themselves to make them feel superior. When jesus-freaks and churchgoers stop telling me I'm going to hell because I don't spend sundays in church or go around praising god (I do believe in a higher power, but that's about as far as it goes), then you can feel superior. Until then, religious folk are just as hateful as anyone else. They just feel entitled by it.

I always see 42s on these things - from various people. Why is it so many people want to claim the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything? - Assuming that is what you are picking the number for.

If that is not why you or most people pick the number, then perhaps that is proof to it being the answer to the ultimate question. XD
